Heel Pain

Do you receive heel pain which stops you from doing simple tasks? Is it getting hard to move the same way you once used to?

Heel pain can be associated with many different structures which are located in the hindfoot. The structure such as your nerves, fascia, tendons, muscles, bones, ligaments and soft tissue can all contribute to your condition.

Common conditions we usually treat are plantar faciitis, heel spurs, achilles tendonitis, nerve entrapments, injuries to the ankle or heel and many more.

The usual method of treatment would be to consult one of our podiatrists before your condition becomes chronic or degenerates further. After your assessment, you may be referred for radiological imaging or a biomechanical assessment where the podiatrist aims to find the cause of your condition and not just the symptoms.

Once a diagnosis is made, we can develop a long term treatment plan which gets you closer to moving the best you can just as you did in the past.

We use Custom Orthotics, Laser and possible injections to treat your foot conditions.

Flat Feet

A flat foot is one of the most common foot changes seen in today’s society. Is this you?

We treat this!

The arches provide a spring to the step and help to distribute body weight across the feet and legs. The structure of the arches determines how a person walks. The arches need to be both sturdy and flexible to adapt to stress and a variety of surfaces.

When people have flat feet, their feet may roll to the inner side when they are standing and walking. This is known as over pronation and it may also cause the feet to point outward.

The usual method of treatment would be to consult one of our podiatrists before your condition becomes chronic or degenerates further. After your assessment, you may be referred for radiological imaging or a biomechanical assessment where the podiatrist aims to find the cause of your condition and not just the symptoms.

Orthotics

Custom foot orthoses are currently recognized as the gold standard for treatment of foot and lower limb pathology.

While foam and plaster casting methods are most widely used in clinical practice, technology has emerged, permitting the use of 3D scanning, computer aided design (CAD) and computer aided manufacturing (CAM) for fabrication of foot molds and custom foot orthotic components.

Support your life with the correct pair

Your footwear can either make or break your feet. The structure, function and fit of a shoe can impact the way you walk and absorb ground reaction forces.

Depending on the function of your feet and the nature of your lifestyle various footwear may be suited to you. We recommend you consult one of our podiatrists for a biomechanical assessment to identify the way you walk and move on your feet.

A footwear assessment and fit can then be prescribed for your convenience. Usually, a prescription may also be provided to take to a footwear shop to attain the perfect footwear for your feet. A prescription may also be provided depending on your current conditions.

We support the assessment and prescription of government funded footwear utilising custom orthotics and footwear with ENABLE NSW. We also facilitate department of veteran’s affairs DVA MGF Custom footwear.

We have established close partnerships with Workcover and NDIS to prescribe ongoing footwear prescriptions based on your needs and choices. We are happy to conduct an assessment and listen to your requirements in order to keep you mobile and functioning.
